Bad to the Bone tells the story of Neeka, a woman whose life changed forever when her best friend Dyisha was brutally murdered by her boyfriend. Ever since, Neeka has tried to keep it together, but the disturbing news stories about black women being murdered, relentless catcalling, disrespect from men and her own past chaotic relationships have worn her down. This summer, it all became too much, and Neeka snapped.

Driven by Dyisha’s memory, a yearning for love, and a thirst for revenge, Neeka spirals down a dark path where the lines between justice and retribution blur. As her mind unravels, she’s forced to face not only her past traumas but the deepest, darkest parts of herself.
